CHAPTER 30 DELEGATION OF AUTHORITY AND RESPONSIBILITY
1236 – Delegation of Authority to Field Positions
1236.41 – Forest Supervisors. The following staff officers are designated acting Forest
Supervisor during calendar year 2004. In the absence of both the Forest Supervisor and Deputy
Forest Supervisor they will handle all business activities commensurate with managing the
Forest. They will review and process all hard copy mail addressed to the Forest Supervisor,
including that received in blue envelopes. The acting will sign all correspondence “for” over the
name and title of the Forest Supervisor. Acting’s are not delegated to sign documents approving
personnel action for permanent employees. When the designated acting is unable to fulfill their
acting Forest Supervisor assignment they shall arrange to have another Staff Officer assume their
acting responsibilities. The front desk will be advised of any changes made in acting
assignments.
