24.1 – Road Use Permits
1. Require the proposed permittee to provide the Forest Service with the following
information:
c. Applicant shall attach a map of the road(s) to be used.
3. District Ranger will:
a. Work through the Road Manager to determine:
(1) Construction / reconstruction requirements and need for an Engineering
Representative.
(2) Bonding requirements.
(3) Maintenance requirements including deposits.
(4) Cost recovery.
(5) Termination date.
(6) Special requirements to comply with NEPA documents
(7) Road restrictions and signing.
(8) Completion of the permit in original form and two copies.
(9) Completion of all Bills for Collection.
b. Ensure payments for Federal Timber Cost Recovery and maintenance
deposits are received in advance of haul.
