Duties/Responsibilities: Work as a member of the Audit team, being exposed to operational audit work and compliance reviews throughout BC Energy Auditing Support the various audit managers, including duties such as: o Operational Audit testing: life-cycle testing, data spreadsheet analysis, documentation and information gathering o Expense Claim and Policy Compliance Audits: planning, testing, manager interviews and report writing o Production of monthly and quarterly financial reports Gain experience with operations and compliance Learn about the utility industry and develop communication skills, computer skills and professional judgement Requirements/Qualifications: A 2nd or 3rd year Business, Accounting, Engineering, or Information Technology student Strong analytical skills, good judgement and the ability to learn quickly A basic understanding of accounting and auditing fundamentals Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) Strong interpersonal and communication (both oral and written) skills The ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment Work experience in a business environment is preferred
