Fully connectorized outputs reduce installation time and cost RS-232 Interface DC Power for Business-Critical Continuity Description The LORAIN® -190V Converter System is a modular DC to DC bulk power converter system optimized to provide reliable, efficient and cost effective power for the “last mile” broadband network. The power system provides a total of up to 112 output channels. The converter system consists of a single 7RU, 23" Power System Cabinet, up to 4 DC to DC Converter Modules, up to 14 8-Channel Line Card Modules, and a Control and Maintenance Module. Each Converter Module provides 7A at -190VDC output. Each Line Card Module provides eight output channels current limited to 100 VA and ground fault protected at 5 mA. The discrete Converter and Line Card Module design allows the user to “pay as you go.” The Maintenance Backup feature eliminates maintenance issues and service interruptions encountered with other “multi output” converter solutions. The RS-232 feature allows the user to download current setup and inventory information as well as system alarms. Application The -190V DC to DC Converter Power System is ideal for either new or overlay FTTx deployments. It can be used in either central office or remote terminal applications.
