Update Instructions
================================================================
Please refer to the MergePoint 5200/5224/5240 Installer/User Guide for detailed
instructions on how to update the MergePoint 5200/5224/5240 service processor
manager to version 4.0.0.
For updating the plug-in on DSView 3 software version 3.4.1, please execute the Add
Plug-in Wizard (not the Upgrade Plug-in Wizard). At the completion of running this
wizard, the DSView 3 software system should contain just the MergePoint plug-in
because the MergePoint 5200, OnBoard24, and OnBoard40 plug-ins will
automatically be removed from the system during the consolidation process that will
occur when the MergePoint plug-in is added.
For updating the plug-in on DSView 3 software version 3.5 or above, please execute
the Upgrade Plug-in Wizard. These versions included a consolidated MergePoint
plug-in already pre-installed.
Finally, after a replication, restarting the service may be required for changes to take
effect.

2. DirectCommand auto-login
Users with proper rights can now access the SP’s web interface without the need to
know the SP’s login information, as the MergePoint appliance will automatically logon
to the SP in the background.
3. User access control lists
Admin users can assign access permissions for targets to users or groups of users,
so that when these users log in to the MergePoint 5200/5224/5240 appliance, they
will only see the target(s) they have permission to access. The assignment of
permissions is available to admin users only, and these settings are applicable to
regular and operator users only (admin users always have access to all targets).
User can define the roles and access rights for every SP.
4. Support for multi-authentication
All MergePoint appliance models support Kerberos, LDAP, NIS, RADIUS, SMB and
TACACS+ for user authentication.
5. Improvements in the DSView® 3 Plug-in for the MergePoint 5200/5224/5240
SP Manager
The MergePoint 5200 appliance has a companion DSView 3 Plug-in version 4.0.0
which allows access, configuration, and management of the MergePoint 5200
appliance from DSView 3 software version 3.4.1 or later. Please refer to the release
notes for the DSView 3 Plug-in for the MergePoint 5200 appliance version 4.0.0 for
more details.

6. DHCP Support
All MergePoint appliances now support DHCP for dynamic IP address assignment to
targets.
7. Support for provisioning recovery
The MergePoint appliance user interface now allows users to easily recover the
provisioning information of an SP that needs to be reprovisioned.

Known Issues
================================================================
This release contains the following known issues:
1. The MergePoint 5200/5224/5240 Plug-in for DSView 3 software version 3.4.1 is
required in order to manage the MergePoint 5200/5224/5240 appliance firmware
v3.1.0 or later.
2. Usernames under User Configuration must be all lowercase letters.
3. BMC Provisioning can only be configured to use the secondary Ethernet Interface
(eth1).
4. We support alias for every SP. Do not use special characters. Only the following
are allowed: “0—9”, “a—z”, “A—Z” and “-“.
5. Losing power during an upgrade is non-recoverable.
6. Please do not use special characters in the SP’s password. We do not support
‘>’, ‘<’, “’”, “””,”&”.

Fixes
================================================================
This release contains the following fixes:
1. Resolved the issue where vKVM on HP iLo would sometimes lock up the
browser.
2. Resolved the issue where ALOM did not work with SSH.
3. Resolved the issue where two input linefeeds were needed for SoL in DRAC4.
4. Resolved the issue where the 5224/5240 would not alarm sometimes.
5. Resolved the issue where SSH passthrough on DSView 3 displayed the
password in clear text.
6. Added the web page to enable/disable telnet and SSH service.
7. Modified the sp_profile name to make them more user friendly.
