OVERVIEW OF JOB:
As our Bilingual Parent Trainer you will be responsible for coordinating, planning,
and conducting training for our Common Sense Parenting program. This program is
designed to provide training to parents seeking to develop or improve parenting skills.
You will be expected to successfully complete the Common Sense Parenting Training for
Trainers Workshop and then teach the Common Sense Parenting program to multiple
families at a designated location. Additionally, you will participate in program
evaluation activities, which will include: direct observation of training sessions,
attendance at consultation meetings, and collection of parent and class data. This
position also requires that you maintain and communicate information to others
regarding Common Sense Parenting Training, as well as potentially assisting with
parent recruitment efforts in the community.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, OR SKILLS
• Bachelor's degree in Human Services or Behavioral Sciences
• Must be able to read, write, and speak in Spanish and English
• Must possess valid driver's license with a good driving record, plus ability to provide
own transportation to complete travel requirements of job
• This position may require flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain
complex material
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups of people
• Proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel

POSITION SUMMARY: The Donor Relations Specialist performs administrative
work directly related to the general business operations of the Affiliate Site
Development Office.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Associate’s degree or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
2 years of relevant experience preferably including nonprofit and donor relations
experience; experience with fundraising data management programs (Blackbaud
CRM) is preferred.
Knowledge of fundraising and special events.
High level of professionalism and interpersonal skills. Strong customer service skills.
Strong computer skills in Blackbaud CRM and Microsoft Office, including
PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with individuals at all levels in the
organization and with external business contacts in an articulate, professional
manner while maintaining necessary degree of confidentiality.
Ability to build and sustain successful, professional relationships.
Ability to work independently in a collaborative environment, meet deadlines, and
multi-task while maintaining quality standards.
Strong knowlege of the Boys Town Model.

POSITION SUMMARY: The In-Home Family Services Consultant provides in-home
intervention to children and their families utilizing a skill based, solution focused model
to help families adopt positive solutions to problems through the teaching of skills and
behavioral techniques accessing community resources and support..
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
•
Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Sciences or Human Services. NOTE: Education and
experience requirements may be higher based on Affiliate Site location, Local
contracts, or Federal/State contract requirements.
•
1 to 2 years of experience including working with children and families; supervisory
experience is preferred; experience working with children and families in
community-based programs or Boys Town Programs preferred.
•
Must possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record, plus the ability to
provide own transportation (mileage reimbursed) to complete travel requirements
of the job. Must meet auto insurance requirements established by Boys Town policy
and/or State and Local laws.
•
This position is on-call (continuously or rotationally) to provide support and must
be available to work outside of traditional business hours including early mornings,
nights, weekends, and holidays.
•
Solid understanding of the philosophy and function of public assistance and social
services systems. Knowledge of recognized interventions such as risk assessment
and crisis intervention in order to address identified service needs.
•
Knowledge of regulatory requirements pertaining to youth care and the ability to
learn, apply, and explain complex regulations and policies governing child welfare
processes and services.
•
Ability to function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the
ability to work effectively with youth, staff, and support agencies.
•
Knowledge of community resources and service providers available in the
geographical area; knowledge of the functions and services of the community
organizations and related human services.
•
Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels in the organization and with
external business contacts in an articulate, professional manner while maintaining
necessary degree of confidentiality.
•
Computer skills in Microsoft Office.
•
Knowledge of Boys Town model and fidelity of care.
