My 2nd year, I was Hall Council president for Lumberjack Village. In the Spring of 2013, I became a Community Assistant for Lumberjack Lodge. I was still very active in RHA. I became one of the CA advisors for Lodge’s Hall Council. In my 3rd year, I became Marketing Coordinator for Residence Hall Association. Inning 2 Stats Graphic Design Experience: While in high school, I was a Graphic Design Intern at a local shirt shop. I worked there untill my boss closed it. I started working in 2007, I was 14 years old, but willing to learn. Coming into college, I knew I wanted to go into Design, and I have loved every minute. I used the Adobe Creative Suite, but Adobe Illustrator is my main tool. The Inseparable chor n A Marketing Experience: In Fall ‘13, I started Ad Design. I also joined AdHoc. AdHoc is SFASU’s chapter for the National American Advertising Federation. In November, I was selected to represent SFA at the AAF conference in Houston. At this conference, we were broken into teams, and given 8 hours to make a marketing plan for a company. After that conference, I realized that I love marketing and added it to my degree. Inning 3 Rookie Year I am currently the Marketing Coordinator, and I have loved my position. It has been a great year with many ups and downs. One thing that I have enjoyed about my job is that I’m doing something I like. I enjoy making the ads, working with the residents and putting on the programs. I know that I have made a few bumps in the road, but what rookie hasn’t? It’s motivates me to make next year bigger and better! Goals: I have a few goals for the Marketing Coordinator position. • Make a bigger presence on social media. RHA has a Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. I would like to see more people posting and tagging RHA • Have ads out earlier. I like when the ads are out so the residents can become more familiar with then. This can also tie in with social media by posting the ads on Facebook, or creating a hashtag. • Keep the website updated. This past year, we made a change with the advisor taking over the website, but I want to work closely with the advisor with keeping it up to date. Inning 4 Team Captain While involved with RHA, I have held a few different leadership positions. Starting my 1st year, I was Vice President for Lumberjack Landing. I helped decorate the hall for the Showcase Saturdays, put on hall council programs, and helped the CAs with their programs. My 2nd year, I was Hall Council President for Lumberjack Village. I was always hanging around the RHA office and willing to help at any moment. In Spring ‘13, I became a Community Assistant for Lumberjack Lodge. I was still highly involved with RHA. I became the Hall Council advisor with two other CAs on staff. I helped the HC to decorate on Showcase Saturday, with their weekly meetings and with their programs. I could be found helping the HC with anything, or in the RHA office helping with getting ready for the upcoming program. I became the Marketing Coordinator in 2013. This has been my biggest leadership role while on campus and I would not trade it for anything. Playing Kickball with Lodge Staff and residents Showcase Saturday with Lumberjack Landing Inning 5 All Star Game I have gone to two SWACURHs, and one NACURH. I have loved going to represent SFASU.
