Trenton Ellis, Laura Colmenero‐Chilberg, Rickie Legleitner, and Courtney Huse Wika. "There is a widespread assumption that simply because my generation of women has the good fortune to live in a world touched by the feminist movement, that means everything we do is magically imbued with its agenda, but it doesn't work that way. ‘Raunchy’ and ‘liberated’ are not synonyms. It is worth asking ourselves if this bawdy world of boobs and gams we have resurrected reflects how far we've come, or how far we have left to go," writes Ariel Levy in her hotly contested book Female Chauvinist Pigs: Women and the Rise of Raunch Culture. Join a panel of Black Hills State professors from across campus for an open discussion on raunch culture, rape culture, slut shaming, and the current state of feminism in America. ‐‐Courtney Huse Wika ‐ 1‐19 Journal of Undergrad Research/Creative Scholarship JUR(Y): The Journal of Undergraduate Research and Creative Scholarship is now accepting submissions from BHSU students.
