COLP Tri-Hike Challenge: Crow Peak Friday Sept. 18 at 3:30 p.m. in Student Union Atrium This hike is part of COLP’s “Tri-Hike Challenge” – a series of
three hikes to each of the points surrounding Spearfish. This is how Spearfish got its nickname – “the Queen City” –
they say the three peaks are like the three points of a crown, or tiara. These hikes are fun times to burn some
calories, get out in nature, meet some other nice folks, and build some good stories. What to bring: Sturdy, closetoed sneakers or hiking boots – no sandals and no flip flops! Comfortable clothing suitable for the weather. It cools
down, so bring a sweater and, if it looks like it might rain, a rain jacket. Bring a filled water bottle, a snack, and a
book-bag or knapsack to carry your stuff. You might also wish to bring or share with a friend a flashlight and camera.
This is the longest hike of our series – 3.2 miles to the top. It also has an amazing view from the top and should not
be missed!
