Recycling
Unsure of what to do with your excess paint? Oil based paints are considered hazardous
household waste (HHW) and should not be thrown out with the garbage. Instead, it should
be taken to a collection site to be properly disposed of. Latex based paints are recyclable
and can even be donated to some organizations such as Habit for Humanity. Be sure to
recycle paints and paint cans whenever available and properly dispose of HHW.
