Unit Name: Office of Undergraduate Admissions Unit Mission: The mission of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions is to maximize SUNY-ESF’s new student enrollment by identifying, cultivating, selecting and enrolling a targeted number, quality, and demographic mix of freshman and transfer students each year. This is accomplished through a sophisticated recruitment and admission process that requires extensive collaboration with ESF faculty and staff and the support of a variety of offices and individuals. Unit Level Institutional Assessment Encourage faculty involvement in student recruitment, focusing special attention on campus visitation programs and transfer articulation efforts. Also encourage involvement of ESF staff, current students, and alumni in recruitment activities. #1 Enrich academic excellence in both undergraduate and graduate education. Maintain current level of faculty participation. Faculty participation remains very strong. No specific recommendations required. Manage candidate selection to achieve the desired metrics for our incoming class, with sensitivity towards individual student needs and the fair and consistent application of admissions criteria. #1 Enrich academic excellence in both undergraduate and graduate education.
