Digital Content Intern (Multiple Openings) College of Arts and Sciences Get hands-on experience and build your resume at the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), the intellectual and cultural heart of UD, and the largest and oldest of the University’s seven colleges. We are looking for enthusiastic interns to support web content entry, and in some cases social media assistance, for us on a part-time basis. All undergraduate and graduate majors are welcome to apply. Responsibilities: The Digital Content Intern will work under the guidance of professional staff in the CAS Communications and Information Technology teams, and be deployed to CAS units (departments, centers and programs) on a project-based assignment schedule. Specific tasks will involve maintenance of existing websites, including updating textual and visual content; support for unit website redesigns, including the creation, testing, revision, and/or transfer and entry of content; and occasional social media content assistance. The Digital Content Intern should be comfortable writing and editing digital media, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be able to perform in a deadlinedriven team environment. Qualifications: • Proficiency and formatting experience with MS Office, as well as technical and editorial skills, required. • Experience with web content management system (e.g. WordPress, Drupal, SharePoint, etc.). • Excellent customer service and skill in communicating effectively and interacting well with faculty and professional staff. • Ability to follow directions and adhere to University Brand Guides as well as policies and procedures governing IT/web efforts. • Attention to detail and ability to work with multiple clients and projects simultaneously. • Time management skills, exhibited by ability to complete tasks independently and request assistance when needed. • Previous data-entry work experience a plus. • Familiarity with both PC and Mac preferred. Access to a laptop is helpful, but not mandatory (we cannot loan laptops).
