City extends condolences to families of the victims of the
De Doorns bus crash
On behalf of the City of Cape Town, I would like to extend my
condolences to the families and friends of the 24 passengers
who lost their lives in the bus crash in De Doorns.
I would also like to express my sympathies to those who
sustained injuries. I want assure them all that they are in the
City’s thoughts and prayers and that we wish them a speedy
and full recovery.
Too many innocent lives are lost in road accidents every day in
our country. I encourage motorists to ensure that their actions
on the road don’t put the lives of other road users at risk. We
can save thousands of lives on our roads if we all make an
extra effort to respect road traffic laws.
