City wishes Muslim community a blessed Ramadan
On behalf of the City of Cape Town, I wish all Muslims throughout Cape
Town a joyous month of Ramadan. I wish you strength throughout this
period of worship, fasting, sacrifice and giving.
I encourage you to uphold the spirit of caring and giving to vulnerable
people in our communities beyond the month of Ramadan.
The Muslim community’s commitment to making a difference in the lives
of those who need our help most is an inspiration for all of us to build a
prosperous society.
It is by uniting through our diverse cultures, religions and beliefs that we
can give the needy members of our society hope for a brighter future and
help make this great city even greater.
