Topics included are employee contracts, due process procedures, collective bargaining, performance appraisal of licensed and non-licensed employees, hiring and dismissal processes, staff development, and induction of new employees. The legal implication of ADA, affirmative action, and sexual harassment are explored. Fieldwork is included in the requirements for this course. LEAD 5700 Introduction to Research and Statistics Online graduate course In this course, students learn concepts and skills related to educational measurement, research design, statistics, program/policy evaluation, and quantitative and qualitative methods of research. The goal is to learn these concepts within an applied context so that students are more empowered to research and create studies that answer important educational questions in the field. Some course topics include: (a) reviewing and synthesizing educational research, (b) introductory level statistics, and (c) evaluating published research.
