Planned, organized, and implemented the Apprentice Teaching program for
UCCSTeach
Served as an advisor for multiple students throughout their UCCSTeach program
Observed a variety of science pre-service teachers with a focus on elementary,
middle and high school
Created instructional courses, including a Project-Based Instruction course and
methods courses
Directed a national program of over 250 educators, titled the Space Foundation
Teacher Liaison Program
Organized, managed, and coordinated a variety of district-level contracts for the
Space Foundation
Taught multiple, Master’s level, courses for educators across the country
(Astronomy, Biology of Living in Space, Space Technologies in the Classroom, and
Rocketry)
Created new education website for Space Foundation
Researched current teaching methodology for Space Foundation in order for Space
Across the Curriculum courses to remain current
Consistently collaborated with educators, PreK-12, in order to foster networking and
keep programs current with today’s educator needs
Designed/developed two new, space-themed, Master’s level, courses for educators
(Meteorology and Space Weather/ PreK-2 Early Childhood Education)
Presented cutting-edge material at a variety of regional/national conferences (CAST,
CCIRA, , NSTA, NCTM, and SEEC)
Participated as a community/industry representative in D-20 schools accreditation
process
Planned, developed, and implemented Science, Technology, and Academic
Readiness for Space (STARS) classes for students around the country



Hosted a variety of meetings/workshops statewide for educators
Developed relationships between space industry and classroom educators in order to
create new programs
