Symbiosis Centre for Information technology (SCIT) is a premier IT Business School and a
Registered Education Provider of Project Management Institute (PMI REP).
A PMI R.E.P. is an organization approved by PMI to issue professional development units
(PDUs) for its training courses.
SCIT can hold trainings for the preparation for these certification exams. The training offered
by SCIT will help the participants to achieve a specific number of contact sessions, thus earning
a specific number of PDUs (Professional Development Units). These contact hours during the
training and hence earned PDUs will make the participants eligible for taking up the
certification exams (E.g.: one of the eligibility criteria for appearing for the PMP exam is
earning 35 PDUs, which will be fulfilled by attending the PMP training course offered by SCIT).
PMP Training Programme exposes the participants to various Knowledge Areas and Processes
of Project Management. It will help them to prepare and successfully pass the PMI’s PMP
examination. PMP certification helps to identify you as a practitioner who has demonstrated
competency in project management processes or in knowledge and experience in specialty
areas of practice based on industry standards.

 Explore PMBOK® in depth and breadth
 Understand PMI's project management framework and definitions
 Explore various project management process groups and knowledge areas and
understand how they relate.
 Establish clear understanding of key processes for each of the knowledge areas
(integration, scope, time, cost, quality, human resources, communications, risk, and
procurement) and Inputs, Tools & Techniques, and Outputs (ITTOs) for each of the
processes
 Learn to perform calculations related to earned value, risk monitory values, PERT etc
 Learn to analyze network diagrams, critical path calculations and answer related
questions
 Overview of Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM) and Buffer Management
concept
 Discussions on professional responsibility subject matter

The participants will be awarded with Certificate of Participation after the completion of the
course, which mentions that they have obtained training from a PMI REP (bearing the logo of
PMI) and have earned the required number of PDU’s required for appearing in the PMP exam.

TRAINER’S DETAILS
Trainer : Mr. Viral Daiya
Mr. Viral Daiya is a practicing project manager having over 8 years of professional experience.
His experience includes working with projects in Information Technology, Banking,
Infrastructure and BPO sectors right from requirements gathering to project closure. He is
currently working as a project manager in IT products and Payment Solutions’ company. He
has been working in diverse cultures, virtual and international teams with varied
organizational structures and with significant portion of the project being outsourced. He is a
Project Management Professional (PMP®) and has conducted several IT and Business trainings.
He has worked with Multinational Banks and have a rich functional experiance. After
completing Masters in Commerce from Mumbai University, he has done PGDBA from NMIMS.
He is a Six Sigma green belt and also has a process management experience.
