Document a minimum of 100 hours of
clinical interaction under the
supervision of a licensed master's
level speech-language pathologist
with at least 2 years of full-time
professional experience as a Speech
Language Pathologist. This does not
include observation.
Apply academic knowledge to
practical experience through clinical
discussions with your peers and
instructor.

Observation of therapy procedures in various
clinical settings. Introduces clinic policies and
procedures through a variety of clinical
activities. 3 hrs. lecture, 1-3 hrs. lab. Letter
grade only. Prerequisite: (SST 202 and SST 251
and SST 350 and SST 375 and SST 405) or
International Exchange Student Group

7. Justification for course change.
Revise course title to reflect current and appropriate focus (apparent typographical error
previously). Pre and co requisite changes to better align with the SLPA requirements; add
SST 251, 301, 302, 303, 304 as pre-requisites or co-requisites because these courses are taken
prior to or concurrently with SST 460. Remove SST 350 because it is not part of the SLPA
certification program.
