Assisted Places for Summer School Application Form The Guildhall School of Music & Drama Assisted Places Scheme As part of the Guildhall School’s commitment to widening participation we are able to offer a number of assisted places on our summer school programmes. This means that the programme fees will be waived. Am I eligible for an assisted place? You can qualify for an assisted place if you satisfy both the residency requirement and the income requirement. Assisted places are also given to people who satisfy residency requirement and are in local authority care or are a recent care leaver. The School defines a recent care leaver as someone who has been in local authority care for at least 13 weeks in the last 5 years. If you qualify for an assisted place as a person in care or recent care leaver you do not have to supply information about income. Residency Assisted places are available for individuals who live in the Guildhall School’s targeted areas of London. If you are not on any of the above state benefits you should complete an income assessment. We require the following information: o How much household income* you have a year after tax and National Insurance deductions. If you have a partner in your household you should include their income. o How much you expect to receive each year from child support payments, if these apply to you. o How much you receive, annually, in child tax credits or working tax credits, if these apply to you. o How much you receive, annually, from state benefits, if these apply to you. You will be asked to supply evidence of your household income*. What happens next? When you apply for an assisted place on Summer School you will receive an email to confirm your application has been received.
