Qualified Capital Purpose

Undertaking Fund

• Project overview

• All duct work will be above false ceiling except in cafeteria, kitchen, and kitchen store room.

• All exposed duct work would save an estimated $75,000 but would create future house keeping issues. It would also not look as finished as hidden duct work.

• Air handlers will be installed in current boiler room.

• Boilers will be installed in Mr. Olin’s current office. A new fire rated wall will be constructed to meet codes.

• Ductwork will run up the building on the outside just west of fire escape or above current boiler room. There are options for the appearance of this duct work.

• The area we lovingly refer to as the “doghouse” will be eliminated during this project.

Community Wellness Center and

Football/Track Complex

• This project is picking up steam!

• I visited the newly constructed wellness center in Oakland on

Friday…VERY impressive. A facility of that nature would be a tremendous asset to the community of Pender

• A big piece of this project is the football field/track complex.

• Entire project is about $4 million.

• The football field/track complex is about $1 to $1.5 million.

• Donations will play a major role in the construction of these facilities.

• Donors may specifically state how they would like their donation spent. In other words, someone may choose to donate to the football field/track complex only.

• This has major implications for the school.

• Are we willing to support this project?
