Sitting on a shelf for display

Some are red and some are blue
Some reflect cultures and some

It is black around the eyes
Has a yin-yang on the forehead
And is red on the rest of the

The Lovely Lady Mask
There was a lovely lady mask,
Which was painted wood and raffia.
Its colors were red, yellow, and white
With a long stringy tan wig.
The Africans used it for ceremonies
And festivals.
To them it is a very genuine mask,
Used in a traditional manner
Outside of Sigiri,
In the village of Tiguibiri.
The lovely Lady Mask,
Was a very important artifact.

Pwo Mask Poem
There is a mask
It is called the Pwo Mask.
There is a tribe who
Wears this mask,
The tribe is
The Luchazi people.
This tribe is related to
The Chockwe people.
The Pwo Mask represents
Women who have died young.
The mask is ideal to female beauty .
When it is worn it honors
Those women who have
Died young.
The mask is 9 inches of
Black stained wood.
It is worn by
Male initiates
On their return to
Their village.

Beautifully Crafted Mask
Mask From where
Mask from where?
I have all the colors of the Jamaican
Flag.
I have a yellow X in the middle of my
face.
On top and bottom I am green.
My left and right are black.
My brown dread locks are down to my
neck.
Celebrations here are very much like
the U.S.
Traditions here are very ritualistic.
And carried out over a specific period
of time.
Or at specific events.
Where am I?

Now I’ll tell why there is a awesome
Mask exhibit, oh no, oh no you just can’t
miss it
Man, you just can’t miss it man woo!
The Korean mask from way back then,
has really funny eyebrows and awesome
green skin.
He has red cheeks too.

The Color Ones Face
“We wear a mask to hide our
face
Purple butterflies will dance in
place
Pink clouds lay beside my face
Blue x’s to hide my eyes
Lips of purple and cheeks of
pink
All these together make a
dramatic disguise”

Mask Of The Wedding
This mask is from the South Korean culture
It really is an interesting feature
It is a traditional wedding mask
Making it is a very big task
The reason is described in the deep culture
Doing is it much like torture
It keeps the couple from seeing each other
Until the wedding, oh brother
There are many religions in South Korean culture
Going through them would be like a lecture
Most of South Korean is Catholic
Its what makes those people tick
What makes South Korea have a rich history
Is a very big mystery
South Korea gained it’s independence in 1948
The country turned democratic, deciding its fate
The Korean War was a tangle”
South Korea working out an angle
To beat North Korean and the Communist Russia
USA helped, even though it wasn’t in Asia

The Tiger
Sitting majestically in the sinking
sun.
The stripes like war paint, and the
eyes like jade.
Her tail flicks, and her eyes wander.
The sun sinks lower, and she rises
to leave her perch.
At the edge of dawn, she returns to
her rock and rest.
She curls up like a caterpillar and
waits silently for the hush of dusk to
rise again.

Half Of The World
South America isn’t it bright.
Half of the worlds culture isn’t that
right.
Brazilian culture is Asian,
European, and America too.
That’s all I have to say about this
culture to you.
But the mask, amazing and bright.
Somebody please put out the light,
Crazy, extravagant, 3-D too.
So much to learn about, me and you.

“Spice & Rice”
Soup is Ecuador’s specialty,
Which includes many things like,
Avocado, potato, and cheese.
There are many vegetarian
Options, such as beans and rice
There is a dish called “picante”
Which can be made with different
Types of spice.
Seafood is very common, and is
Often prepared in coconute milk.
Lobster has a lot of different types,
All at a very reasonable price.
A particular mask from Ecuador
Is a black wolf with bright yellow
Eyes and a strong red tongue.

Mourning Mask
A tragedy in time,
When everyone is sad.
A time to remember,
All the great people that we had.
No wearing black or purple,
It reminds us of bad times.
Wear orange, red, gold, or brown,
And we’ll remember them through
time.
The colors that we wear,
Scare away the demons.
It keeps us from the bad,
And brings us good.

My Partnership’s in Brazil
I see men shaking hands.
Women kissing on the cheeks,
I think it is hard to speak.
Purple and black are signs of mourn.
It’s been hard since I was born.
They eat their food differently.
On their laps is what I see.
No more signs of hardship,
I think I earned their partnership.
It is weird trading with them.
But then again it can be fun.
Brazil nuts all around,
So now I am done.

I Am A Stone Mask
I am a Mexican Stone Mask
My job was to protect you during
the war, a long time ago
I look like a Mexican flag, because
I am very patriotic
You might wear me if you go
wrestling or bullfighting, and you
might see me if you go a fiesta
party,
With expensive food, and mariachi
band
I am proud to be a Mexican!

I am a Mask From Mexico
I am a mask from Mexico
With a flag of red, white and green
And to my wide eyes
There is a certain gleam
I am a mask from Mexico
Where you fill find mariachi bands
They play during Cinco de Mayo
When Mexico’s independence took a stand
I am a mask from Mexico
I can hang on the wall
I have stripes atop my head
Feel free to count them all
I am a mask from Mexico
Where they eat chili and beans
Where a quinceanera is held
For a girl turning fifteen

Sombreros aren’t the only traditional

Fine silk introduced by Spanish make

The Unnamed Mask
The mask is brown and black
People wear this mask to the
Carnivale
Where people can see
excitement
This mask has no name
But it’s still in fame
Venice, Italy is my hometown
And it will always stay the
same
It may be dark and small
But my country and I will
always stand tall

The Warrior From Greece
The warrior of Greece was mobile.
He never ate meat unless it was
hunted in the wild or sacrificed to
the gods.
They believed that some
vegetables were cleaner and dirtier
than others and certain sacrifices
were given to the gods
His helmets were fierce and was
from Greece. He had the blackest
eyes with a bronze helmet with
snakes on his cheeks. He was truly
the warrior from Greece.
