Village of Lagrange Council Meeting Minutes Record of Proceedings September 25, 2014 Mayor Kim Strauss called the regular scheduled Council Meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. After the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance, roll call was taken with Honer, Price, Gregory, Kincannon, Dill and Karpinski present. Motion by Kincannon, seconded by Karpinski to approve the minutes of September 11, 2014; 6 yeas, motion passed. Public Participation: None Mayors’ Report: None Police Report: 1. The 5K race was uneventful for the Police Department. There were approximately 400 participants. Solicitor Jon Clark’s Report: None Village Administrator Walt Sukey’s Report: 1. Trick or Treat falls on Friday this year which also happens to be the final regular season games for high school football. Some communities have moved Trick or Treat Thursday, October 30, 2014. Council agreed by Consensus to keep Trick or Treat on October 31, 2014 from 6-7:30PM. 2. Council has been given a copy of overtime worked for the third quarter of this year and year to date overtime hours. 3. Harmon Court project. The Village is still waiting for undedicated part of Right of Way to be given to the Village. The owner of the property is still willing to do so. Waiting to see if survey needs to be completed on said property. 4. Pheasant Run Contract – Gerald Innes has revised the initial contract per our meeting for all parties to review. A follow up meeting will be held after all parties have reviewed the revised contract. 5. The new controls for the raw pumps at the Waste Water Treatment Plant have been installed. We would also like to upgrade our ability to monitor our raw pumps, lift stations, water tower level and possibly our generators. 6. Water and wastewater employees have flushed all 224 hydrants and exercised all 377 water line valves. 7. Commerce Drive ditch cleaning – we are currently getting prices from contractors to clean and grade the ditch per county design. 8. Street patching and crack sealing are done on Parklane for now. Employees will be crack sealing on Durham Ridge next. 9. The No Parking on Cul-De-Sac signs have been ordered. 10. An Ordinance is required for the 10 foot Right of Way Dedication Plat where the new Friendship Fuel Station is being constructed. Clark will have it prepared for next meeting. 11. The Glendale project was completed within budget. No extra money that had been approved was needed. 12. The Storm Water Utility billing is close to being ready. The residential is programmed and the commercial accounts still need program adjustments. The Storm Water Utility fee could appear as early as the next billing. The Fiscal Officer presented the following bills for payment as shown on the attached list for warrants 37720 through 37746 and Electronic Payments 636-2014 through 674-2014 for a total of $95,108.83. Motion by Dill, seconded by Gregory; 6 yeas, motion passed. There being no further business, motion to adjourn by Karpinski, seconded by Honer; 6 yeas; motion passed. Adjourned at 8:15 P.M.
