Analysis Here:

The subgenre of this film is a bit complicated as it is biographical, has elements of comedy, and has extreme action as it is a crime story as well.

The stylistic effects of this drama trailer are related to it belonging to trailers of the 2010’s. Their fragmentation in the sound narrative and trailer narrative overall are one of the most significant elements impacting the style of aesthetic. Whereas older drama trailers bring out the music’s harmonic progression for intensity and dramatic build up, this trailer uses a more contemporary approach.

Music:

Most trailers of the 2010’s there are many songs. This one uses four: the first song used is “Meth Lab” by 7Horse (an American rock and blues duo). The other three were not identifiable. There is less development in a sound track. Drama is rather created through punctuations and ruptures in the sound narrative.

Sound effects:

There are more sound effects in this trailer than in older drama trailers. This is partly because of the trend in the 2010’s and partly because the story is about the crazy lifestyle of the stockbrockers from Wall Street.

Dialogue:

As with the o ther trailer films of the 2010’s the soundscape is saturated with dialogue. And there is more range in the distance of the voice.
