The Global Green Growth Institute is looking to hire an accomplished Programme Manager to support their international project work in Brazil and the Amazon Basin. GGGI is an intergovernmental organisation based in Seoul Korea, and with various offices around the world. GGGI is dedicated to supporting developing and emerging countries to meet their development and growth objectives through a green growth pathway that simultaneously targets key economic and environmental objectives. These include poverty reduction, job creation and social inclusion as well as mitigation and adaptation to climate change, biodiversity loss and energy and water security. The Peru Programme Manager will support the development of GGGI’s emerging program of work in Peru, and be responsible for managing one or more large projects. The initial focus will be on project work related to sustainable forest development, as well as on developing a longer-term program and broader government engagement strategy. Project work will involve conducting detailed analyses of existing economic drivers, and relevant regulatory and policy frameworks; supporting policy design and implementation; mapping and engaging public and private sector stakeholders; identifying and promoting national and international best practice; and international knowledge sharing. The key priority will be to identify, evaluate and prioritise green growth opportunities, particularly as they pertain to fostering sustainable forest activity, and to support the Government of Brazil along with the relevant stakeholders in driving implementation and tangible impact on the ground. All applicants must hold exemplary and relevant academic credentials, ideally educated to Masters or PhD level and a good amount of relevant work experience. Other key experience and capabilities will include: Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills, alongside strong synthesis and strategic thinking skills Outstanding stakeholder engagement, client relationship, communication, team work and consensus building skills Excellent multi-cultural literacy and specific experience and language capabilities in Spanish (native speaker preferred) Solid work experience with a highly regarded company or organisation in the field of sustainable international development, consulting, economic analysis or similar Proven project delivery experience, i.e. managing the delivery of results on time and on budget Working experience in areas directly relevant to water resources management and sanitation Experience of managing teams The roles present a unique chance to work with talented, dynamic and driven individuals on groundbreaking projects at the cutting edge of economic development and sustainability.
