Know the basic history of JUJITSU and explain the difference between Jujitsu and Jutaijitsu. 2. Explain the relevance of JU in martial arts techniques. 3. Students must know and understand issues of LEGALITY surrounding self defense. VI. STUDENT ASSESSMENT (SHINDEN) 1. At this level, the STUDENT’S ATTITUDE will be graded to assess their temperament as well as the ability to demonstrate "JU" (gentleness) in their techniques. This must be exercised competently before the student is allowed to continue training in Taijitsu.
