MSc in Management Science and Engineering 1. Programme Objectives Students in this programme should master systematic thinking skills, essential management thoughts, and related knowledge in mathematics, economics, and computer science. In particular, students should have abilities in theoretical modeling, quantitative analysis, and practical application. Students are expected to use advanced management theories, methods, and tools to solve managerial problems related to technology, economy, society, and business issues. 2. Programme Length 2 years 3. Other requirements 5.1 Reading report should include literature review on at least 50 research papers. Students are required to report on seminars for 4 times. 5.2 Mid-term evaluation at the beginning of the 2nd year for courses and reading report. 5.3 Thesis proposal (including research question, literature review, theoretical framework, research methodology, potential contribution) at the middle of the 2nd year, including writing proposal and oral defense (the oral defense committee include at least three professors). 5.4 Thesis and oral defense, following the official procedure of ZJU and the School of Management.
