Core Essentials: Our value this month is
Endurance
If you are worried that you can’t exhibit
endurance because you’ve failed at other goals
you’ve had, start small. Set a small goal for
yourself that is something you know you can do
and then do it. Once you do, you’ll feel great
and that will motivate you to set a goal that is a
little harder to reach. Ask your parents or your
teacher to help you set a goal that is reasonable.
Build Healthy Kids: reduce electronic time
TIPS TO REDUCE SCREEN TIME
1. Remove TV’s from your child’s bedroom
2. Only let children watch movies or do electronics
in the car if the trip is more than 2 hours (limit to 1 2 hours)
3. Do not have the TV, radio or computer on during
dinner
4. Have your child exercise to pay for screen time
5. Set a timer for 1 hour, when it goes off so does the
