This position performs advanced technical and analytic work in the review and (re)design of business processes and the configuration of enterprise SAP software. The incumbent reports to the IES HR SWE team lead. The IES HR system is responsible for over 100,000 positions containing in excess of 90,000 employees. The security function entails the technical administration, development, and assignment of roles to positions to ensure secure and effective HR operations within the SAP environment. Integrated workflow processes accelerate data entry and streamline the flow of information and work items to enhance business operations. Employee Self-Service (ESS) empowers employees to view, create, and maintain their own data through any internet connection. Learning Solutions (LSO) includes the development and technical administration of the new learning management system which includes creating and delivering courses via classroom, web based training, and other delivery methods. The combination of these functions provides employees more active participation in a secured environment to the commonwealth's human resources programs and provides supervisors/managers with informational tools and the ability to electronically process a variety of work items (leave, time, travel, workers compensation claims, exception hiring). The incumbent in this position supports the objectives of the IES HR SWE Team by providing a single point of accountability for the responsibilities listed above.
