CLOSING REPORT October 2015 Beviale Moscow 2015 celebrates successful premiere 112 exhibitors received 2,667 visitors For the first time: a fair covering the entire beverage technology value-added chain in Moscow To be continued in spring 2017 “Expectations exceeded”, “the perfect platform”, “a total success” – those were just some of the statements from exhibitors at the first Beviale Moscow. From 6 to 8 October 2015, the new BrauBeviale offshoot in Moscow showed what it could do. 112 exhibitors from 17 countries presented a broad portfolio extending across the entire beverage production value-added chain: at the Crocus exhibition centre, the total of 2,667 visitors mainly from Russia and the Eastern European region, were impressed by what they saw: the high-quality raw materials through to high-performance technologies and tailormade logistics right up to sparkling, inspirational marketing ideas. “This was absolutely spot on”, said Project Coordinator Thimo Holst summing up the event. “When we talked in the market about Beviale Moscow for the first time, we drew a lot of skeptical looks. But already during the preparations an increasing number of participants came to share our conviction: the interest in a holistic beverage fair on the Eastern European market is there. This has now been confirmed. We are very satisfied with this first event and would like to thank our customers for placing their trust in our assessment.” Vojtech Skolnik, Head of Marketing and Sales, HOBRA- SKOLNIK s.r.o, Czech Republic: “Participating at the first Beviale Moscow was the right decision. We had quite a lot of qualified and specialized visitors on our stand. It was worth the effort since we expect a large amount of new business.” “Global solutions – local success” – more than just a catchphrase Beviale Moscow sees itself as a gateway to Russia's growth markets and immediate neighbours. More than half the exhibitors came from the regional market. But major international sector players also made use of the three days in Moscow to present solutions to their customers at the event. Laura Léglise, Marketing & Communication Manager, OCME s.r.l, Italy: “Beviale Moscow is a perfect platform for our product range. We were able to network with our existing clients and establish new contacts within the Russian beverage industry.” 2,667 trade visitors showed their interest in the direct exchange on specialist questions and issues. They travelled from 31 countries, mainly however from Russia itself and its direct neighbours such as White Russia, Kazakhstan and the Ukraine. The experts from breweries and malt houses, the beverage retail trade, restaurant and catering sector, the areas wine, refreshing/soft drinks, fruit juices, mineral water and milk as well as the service sector and research institutes discussed individual solution concepts in all segments of the beverage industry together with the regional and international suppliers. Platform for the entire beverage industry The commitment and involvement of numerous associations also reflects the spectrum of the first holistic beverage trade fair in the Eastern European market: both in the specialist range as well as the support program, the sectors milk, water, beer, wine, cereals and packaging were represented at Beviale Moscow. In the Versuchs- und Lehranstalt für Brauerei in Berlin (VLB, Research and Teaching Institute for Brewing), Beviale Moscow has a conference organizer on its side who has been established in Russia for a long time. The specialist highlight for brewers were the much-in-demand further training events for management staff from the industry as well as craft brewers: the VLB seminar for the brewing and beverage industry in Russia along with the MicroBrew Symposium Russia. In addition, the “Dairy Union of Russia” held their annual conference on all three days of Beviale Moscow and the Russian Packaging Association presented an award for the best beverage packaging as well as offering a seminar specifically on the beverage packaging theme.
