Foundations Clinical Experience
#1
Purpose: provides opportunity to identify
knowledge, skills and disposition involved in helping
all students learn.
Scope:
• Interact with students
• Assist with instructional tasks as needed via CoTeaching strategies
• Become involved in use of instructional media
and materials
• Become familiar with reports, lesson plans and
other responsibilities of a teacher
Co-Teaching defined
• “Co-teaching in student teaching is defined as
two teachers (cooperating teacher and teacher
candidate) working together in a classroom
with groups of students, sharing the planning,
organization, delivery and assessment of
instruction, as well as the physical space.”
