By taking advantage of the features introduced in 2.0.0.0-alpha, this releases offers simplicity of installation by preconfiguring some options: The Gint web service is pre-configured to be internal to the building block The RBDMS chosen is Blackboard's own database Also includes optional Google SSO provider in block that delegates authentication to Bb Open Source Bboogle (1.5.0RC1,. 2.1.0Alpha) o NU recently released version 2.1.0Alpha, which is based on the current certified Bboogle version. It adds a simple import/export feature that should help with migration from Bboogle 1.5.0 onto the 2.0.0+ versions. o NU currently working on the integration of Bboogle with Bboogle Teams functionalities (Bboogle Teams adds support for small group collaboration to Bboogle, and integrates this capability with Bb's own groups). We hope this work will be eventually certified by Blackboard. Usage issues/questions for participants Which Bboogle versions have you tested/installed/considered? (all participants are either testing or using the Blackboard certified version) How is the Blackboard certified version working for you? (no problems so far) How are you introducing Bboogle in your campus? (U. of Alaska is an early Google Apps adopter; others are not) What is your Bb support experience with the certified Bboogle product? (only U. of Alaska has had contact with Bb support about Bboogle- they were able to install an NU-provided patch that will be eventually included in an updated Bb certified version) Are there any features not currently part of the product which you'd like to see included? (Although this wasn’t specifically discussed, U. of Alaska explained how they create calendars for every Bb course using content feeds obtained through SIS integration. Also email forwarding was discussed as it may apply to several institutions using Bboogle). Would you consider joining the open source project as a contributor?
