General Instructions:
Comic Book - Create a comic book version of ONE act of the play.
Please ensure:
 All of the main events and characters of the act are included,
 Main ideas of the act are accurate and understandable,
 Illustrations support plot and comic,
 Correct Spelling and Grammar,
 Comic Strip is creative and neat.
Film an updated scene - Choose one scene from the play and film a new
adapted version set in current times. Be prepared to discuss and defend
any changes you make!
Textual analysis - Select one passage from each act and:
 Copy the lines from the play into a document,
 Paraphrase the lines in your own words,
 Identify who is speaking to whom,
 State what the lines reveal about character, plot, or themes.

Soliloquy/monologue of your choice with permission from Ms. Gledhill
Free choice – Select one of the following options to complete this aspect
Option 1:
Lavalife Listing or Facebook Profile for a Young Lover – Create
a fictional posting for either a dating website such as Lavalife.com or a
Facebook Profile on behalf of one of the characters in the play.
Option 2:
Survey Students on Myths and Consequences Of Love –
Create a survey asking at least thirty students for their opinion on Helena’s
statement, “ Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind.” Write a
one-page summary of the results.
Option 3:
Create a "wanted" poster for Puck, the mischievous sprite You must include an illustrated "photo," a list of his criminal activities
(mischief-making), physical description, aliases, where he was last seen,
his probable whereabouts, and any rewards being offered. Who is
offering the reward for his capture (think about who in the play might
want to capture Puck to keep him from further mischief)? What
punishment might he receive if he were captured?
Option 4:
Research and present the legend of Theseus – Read from an
authoritative source on Greek mythology and write a one-page summary
of the legend of Theseus. Be certain to cite your sources.
The Three Worlds of AMSND - Write a detailed description of how you
imagine the settings in Theseus’ palace, the workman’s rehearsal space
and the fairy world. This should be a three-paragraph piece.
OR
Create a series of set sketches and present them to the class –These
sketches may be hand or computer generated but the key aspect is your
ability to explain the relevance of your set sketches to the class.
Poetry Analysis - Select one poem from the following list and complete an
analysis. Your analysis must include
a) a completed poetry analysis table
b) a written summary of the poem which highlights the information
from the analysis table and clearly explains the poem
c) a paragraph that links the poem to the play

Advice Letter - Write a letter advising a character on his/her actions – This
should take the form of advice from a good friend or family member.
Follow formal letter format
AMSND Soundtrack - Create a CD of music that matches the themes of
the play. Be sure to clearly identify the song’s title, artist, the theme the
song addresses, and an explanation of how the song reflects the theme.
Your soundtrack must include a minimum of 8 songs and you must design
an appropriate jacket for your album.
