In our classrooms, we are working very hard to learn and follow Great Expectations as well as Love and Logic. Great Expectations -We will value one another as unique and special individuals. -We will not laugh at or make fun of a person’s mistakes, nor use sarcasm of putdowns. -We will use good manners, saying “please,” “thank you,” and “excuse me” and allow others to go first. -We will cheer each other to success. -We will help one another whenever possible. -We will recognize every effort and applaud it. -We will encourage each other to do our best. -We will practice virtuous living using the life principles. Bronco Best Ready! Responsible! Respectful! Discipline? -The first time any mistake is made, your student will get a friendly reminder. -The second time, I will conference with your student and we will establish why the expectation is not being met. We will then set a goal to correct it. -The third time, depending on the circumstance, parents will be contacted, and the student will be given a logical consequence. Most of the time, issues can be settled in the class. Snack We will be having snack. Each child will be responsible for bringing their own snack. They are not required to bring them. Each snack should be healthy, goldfish, cheezits, fruit, pretzels are some examples. Sweets are only permitted on special occasions. Students may bring a water bottle also. Water is the only beverage allowed in the classroom. Birthdays Feel free to send or bring a birthday snack such as cupcakes or cookies for your child’s birthday (it has to be store bought.)
