1. The League begins to govern the Baltic city of Danzig and the Saarland region of Germany fairly and justly.
2. Poland seizes the town Vilna from Lithuania and the League is unable to persuade Poland to leave.
1921
1. The Aaland Islands come into dispute between Sweden and Finland, The League gives the territory to Finland, as long as
they de-militarize.
2. Fridtjof Nansen designs the Nansen Passport for stateless refugees fleeing Russia.
3. February, USA, Japan, and Britain sign the Washington Treaty. The respective proportion of these countries’ navy was 5:3:5

1. April, The Rapallo treaty is signed between Germany and Communist Russia to secretly cooperate on military planning.
2. The League of Nations successfully organizes a rescue plan for the severely crippled Austrian economy.
3. June, The League approves the terms of the Mandate allowing the U.K to exercise control over Palestine.
1923
1. January 1, the USSR receives its own constitution.
2. France occupies the Ruhr district of Germany to extract resources, as Germany was unable to pay reparations.
3. An Italian ambassador is shot dead by Greek terrorists and Italy retaliates by occupying Corfu. Eventually the League forces
Greece to pay Italy to get back Corfu.

1925
1. Woodrow Wilson, framer of the League and ex-President of the USA dies after long-time illness.
2. The Dawes plan is agreed upon, which makes a review of the reparations Germany is being forced to pay. This is an
aftermath of the French occupation of the Ruhr.
3. The Geneva Protocol is made to strengthen the international machinery of the League of Nations resulting from the absence
of Germany, Russia, and the U.S. The protocol required compulsory arbitration of all disputes and defined the aggressor as a
nation unwilling to submit its case to arbitration.
1. War of the stray dog between Bulgaria and Greece when Greece attacks Bulgaria on account of a Greek soldier being shot
without aggression. Bulgaria appeals to the League for assistance and the League orders Greece to withdraw and pay
compensation to Bulgaria.
2. France forms an extensive alliance system with Poland and begins to build the Maginot Line
3. French, British and German representatives meet at Locarno, Switzerland to search for a compromise. Germany is made part
of the League of Nations
1926
20 nations sign the International Slavery Convention outlawing the practice.
1927
13 May is Black Friday as Germany faces severe economic crisis with the stocks collapsing.
1928
The Kellogg-Briand pact is signed in Paris by 65 nations who agree to renounce war as an instrument of national policy.
