Registration Information
Any high school age resident of Detroit is welcome to enroll! Current middle school student should ensure their
transcripts are forwarded to Western. Over the counter registration is available. Current students will enroll in
classes with their counselor. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the school using the contact information

Founded by cognitive and computer scientists
from Carnegie Mellon University in conjunction with
veteran mathematics teachers, Carnegie Learning
has the courage to not only question the traditional
way of teaching math, but re-invent it.
Carnegie Learning, Inc. is a leading publisher of
innovative, research-based math curricula for middle
school and high school. We help students succeed
in math, creating a gateway to graduation and
preparing them for 21st century careers.
Mango Languages:
Mango is a film based language and culture learning
system. The specialized course content is available
in over 60 languages. The program offers language
skills, cultural diversity, and literature based
knowledge.
Edmodo.com:
Edmodo is a social learning website. Features
available through Edmodo include: polls,
assignment listings, a calendar, message features,
and a library. Edmodo is used as a communication
tool for administrators, teachers, students, and
parents.
