Leader: Come, let us give our praises to God. Thanks be to God for so
many indescribable gifts!
People: Extravagant God, generous giver of all good things, just as
you brought the Israelites into a land flowing with milk and honey—a
land where they could be free from bondage and oppression, you
have brought us into this good land—a land with flowing streams,
with springs and underground waters welling up in valleys and hills,
a land of wheat and corn, of fertile plains, and majestic mountains.
We give you thanks: for the bounty that fills our tables, for the
water that satisfies our thirst, for the beauty of this land, and the
freedom to worship you in this church called Glen Alpine United
Methodist. We give you thanks for the abundance of your blessings,
through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
