The Seventh Grade Pre-AP ELA gifted student will be provided opportunities to:
• Expand areas of independent inquiry exploring multiple
genres
• Compare and analyze multiple generalizations across
disciplines to determine critical attributes
• Write a position paper regarding a social problem
generated by cultural issues, needs, and conflicts
• Compile and analyze qualitative data for research
purposes
• Construct annotated bibliographies that support
independent research
• Compare style and elements of historical and descriptive
research reports across disciplines
• Design and complete a historical research report
