Appendix S1 Source references for the geographical database of woody plants in Japan.
Distributional data for woody plant species were collected by searching the botanical
literature on the flora of the Japanese archipelago. Most of the references that we searched
were species checklists and phytosociological tables. The titles for 226 of the 461 references
have been translated from the Japanese original sources.
