Lazer Guns: The Bright Yet Deadly Killer
1. Write your answer to question 1 here in complete sentences. After you write ANY
information that you got from somewhere else OR if you directly quote from another
source, you must include an internal citation. For example, you might have got all your
information on page 76 from a book called The Two World Wars by Susanne Everett and
Brigadier Peter Young to answer question 1. After you write your answer to the
question, you will write the name of the author of the book and the page number you
referenced between two parentheses ( ). In this particular case, The Two World Wars
has two authors; so using the “Guide to Referencing,” you would look up how to write
an internal citation that has two authors which would look like this→ (Everett and Young
76). Remember, you only use et al if there are 4 or more authors.
2. Questions 2 and 3 will be answered the same way ensuring that you are citing all your
sources. For any of the questions, you might have more than one source. This is a good
thing – it means you are consulting multiple sources! Just be sure to write the internal
citation directly after the information. This means that you might have one internal
citation midway through your answer and one at the end. Again, this is a good thing.
3. In complete sentences with sources, answer number three.

4. Don’t forget the two visuals of your technology. You will also need to cite where you
got the picture from in your Works Cited. Include a caption that highlights some
important aspect of the weapon. Obviously, LAZER GUNS were NOT invented by WWI—
I am merely using it to help you understand the expectations!
(Smith)
As is evident in the above picture, the lazer gun is highly powerful, and could penetrate
most armour (Everett and Young 75).
NOTE: In the internal citation, you see a name: this means that this photo has a known
artist.
(Charlie with Laser)
Clearly, a major weakness of the lazer gun is the fact that at night, it is easy to detect the
shooter, which rendered the soldier vulnerable to return fire (Everett and Young 77).
NOTE: In the internal citation, you see a title; this means that this photo has no known
artist; instead, you use the title given to the photo)
