APUSH Term Project
Directions: Each set of terms are 100+ terms that have been asked on AP US History exams. You need a
working definition of terms to be successful on the Multiple Choice and Essay sections of the test. Your
assignment is to narrow each list to 50 terms that YOU are going to remember for each time period (become an
expert on these 50). Below you will find directions how each 3X5 card should be filled out.
3X5 Card Requirements
1st Card 3X5 : Title Card with your name, name of time period, and class period. (You can reuse the title card
for each of the 6-sets of cards)
Frontside of 3X5:
-Number #1 - #50
-Term in Center of Card
-Each corner has an associated term to draw connections
Backside of 3X5:
-Definition (be as descriptive as possible, don't just have: George Washington - 1st President. That is not
enough information have 3 - 5 facts about the term).
-Use the term in a sentence using some of the facts in your definition.
Pair-Share:
You must document a time (date, time and student first and last name) when you quizzed another APUSH
student using your 50 cards. They might have 30 that are the same as you, but 20 that are not. That means you
are learning another 20 terms!
Suggestion for success!
Work on this project EVERYDAY! Don't wait till the last moment and be a LAZY 1. Because that is the score
that you will get on the AP US History exam!!!
