Demonstrated experience ability and enthusiasm to engage & formulate
options and implement strategies with individuals and families who are
homeless and/or in crisis.
 Commitment to effective teamwork and ability to work effectively with

Knowledge in the areas of human development, health and family issues.

Key Activities
 Liaise with relevant community groups and agencies, and
facilitate linkages with services and programs, which are
appropriate to the needs of service users, and in line with
agency policy.
 Participate in networking between agencies, local
government and community supports to ensure increased
co-ordination and responsiveness to the needs of homeless
people.
 Assist in the ongoing development of appropriate
information, assessment and referral procedures and data
collection systems consistent with a co-ordinated response
to service users.
 Participate in the regular monitoring and evaluation of the
program, including client outcome and client feedback.
 Participate in supervision with the relevant Coordinator
Homelessness & Support Services as per TSA Supervision
Policy and requirements.
 Participate in Performance Plan & Review as per TSA
Performance Review Policy & Procedures.
 To actively participate and contribute to team meetings, and
other relevant events.
 To work co-operatively with other members of Crisis &
Support Centre team, SCE & other services.
 Adhere and follow the conflict resolution processes as per
the TSA Grievance Procedure.
 Assist in the preparation of relevant reports and
submissions, as required.
 Collect and dispatch relevant data/information as required by
funding bodies and as appropriate to performance indicators
for program accountability and development.

 Active involvement with and contribution to these processes.
 Supervision with the relevant coordinator or team leader is
approached in a positive and constructive manner.
 Performance Plan & Review approached in a positive and
constructive manner.
 Co-operative and effective working relationships are
developed & maintained in line with SCE expectations
including Salvation Army Code of Conduct.
 Conflict is addressed and resolved in a professional and
timely manner as per TSA Policies & Procedures.
 Administration functions are actively undertaken, are accurate

complete and consistent with SCE, SAAP and funding body

 Report incidents and hazards to the Manager SCE
