Our clients include C-level executives in areas including Compensation/HR, Technology, Operations, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Procurement, and Finance. Our client base includes just about every financial services institution on the planet and our team is spread between New York/Stamford, London, and Hong Kong in order to serve them effectively. Clients come to us with questions on how to run their business effectively. We provide a combination of data and advisory as fixed price solutions in order to help them answer these questions. Director, Technology and Financial Technology Practice To help reach our goals, McLagan currently has an opening for a Director who wants to work with like-minded individuals in our Stamford/New York offices. The Director will lead the global Technology and Financial Technology practice and interact with C-level information technology executives at Financial Services firms and executives at Financial Technology firms globally in order to advise and assist them in running their technology functions. Typical projects include: - Determining cost of technology resources deployed for a bank in high and low cost locations and recommendations for optimization for a Universal Bank. Assisting a Financial Technology client in determining revenue per account correlated to product sales per account to understand effectiveness of technology sales personnel Recommending optimization of SDLC technology resources across outsourced/BPO models and captive resources Benchmarking the compensation expense for a broad set of elements in a Financial Technology organization and recommending spend changes, based upon market dynamics The Director has three main areas of responsibility: 1. Managing and executing delivery of consulting projects aimed at improving the efficiency of our clients’ businesses 2. Single point of contact for client needs around Technology/Financial Technology and partnerships/alliances on this front and sales of T/FT services 3. Managing the practice as a business including revenues, consultant management, and marketing Required Experience 10-15 years of experience in strategy or management consulting to Financial Markets firms, preferably within a ‘Big 4’consulting organization, or within the project area of a Bank Significant experience as a consultant to the financial services industry, an understanding of what happens after a trade is made, and how technology supports these goals.
