Lesson Plan for Computer Technology This is due January 12th and mandatory for
everyone .
The students will use the Internet to research a computer technology person, company,
or design related topic to computers.
Some examples of this are:
A paper on Steve Jobs, Bill Gates,
Companies to research: Apple, Google, Dell, Samsung, Nokia, Ninetnedo, Saga,
Konami, Microsoft
Computer inventions: How did the computer App come into existence and what was
the process?
How did the invention of the Smart phone change your life and what was the process?
SYNOPSIS OF LESSON:
You will use the internet to find data on either a person, invention, or company
related to computers.
The data in your paper should include how the person, company or design was
developed, the difficulties that they had to deal with and the successes.
You will compare and contrast the data in order to make conclusions about the
person, company or design.
You must cite three sources and write about it in detail.
The final product of this assignment will be a page in length written in your own
words. You cannot copy and paste.
Your paper will need to include:
A thesis statement
I. Organization
1. Does the paper have (in this order) a Title, Introduction thesis statement, body paragraph
detail information about your topic and a conclusion
II. Style
1. Is everything (yes, everything!) double-spaced?
2. Is everything correctly spelled?
3. Is it interesting
III. References
1. Is your information cited ?
2. Have major points been backed up with appropriate references rather than forcing the reader to
take my word for it?
