STOCK MARKET GAME – 100 points

1.

Choose five companies that trade on the New York Stock Exchange and track their stock until April 10, 2014. You can find the information on yahoofinance.com or etrade.com.

2.

Go to the website, type name of any company that trades on the New York Stock

Exchange. Look for closing price and write the closing price of the stock in column,

“Closing Price.”

3.

You decide how many shares you want to buy.

4.

Multiply the number of shares by the closing price to get the current value of stock.

5.

You have $100,000 to buy stock. Add the current value of stock for each company. The total value of all five companies must be between $96,000.00 and $100,000.00. If it is more than 100,000., then decrease the number of shares. If it is less than 96,000, then increase the number of shares.

6.

You must keep this paper to track your progress.

7.

Below is an example. Do not use any of the below listed companies for your project.
