Structured Practice
Providing evidence to suppprt your position
Directions:
When you complete a writing assignment and are asked to provide
evidence to support your position, you are using citation, a component
of good writing; authors use citations to let the reader know that the
ideas presented are not their own. Most citations have a formal structure
in which the author is required to provide specific information from the
source. However, the writing assignment you will complete will simply
require you to identify where you learned the information.
