ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR LEADERSHIP STUDIES

9 MONTH TENURE-TRACK POSITION

The Department of Education at Louisiana State University Shreveport has begun a new doctoral program in Leadership Studies and invites applications for this position to begin January 2015.

Primary responsibilities include teaching a variety of graduate courses in organizational leadership such as strategic resource management; management of complex organizations; culture, climate, and change leadership; policy analysis and development; power, politics, and influence in organizations; and diversity and social justice. Responsibilities also include supervision of leadership internships, and development/maintenance of partnerships with organizations that will serve as the location for these internships. This position also includes advising of doctoral students and service as committee member or chair of dissertation committees for doctoral candidates. Ability to teach additional areas of educational research is desired. This position involves advising, ongoing program development and accreditation, public school or agency engagement, and service on university committees and other professional activities.

Earned doctorate in organizational leadership, industrial-organization (IO) psychology, management, or leadership-related areas (ABD considered); successful teaching record; and leadership experience in on or more of the following settings; higher education, profit/nonprofit administration, health services, government, or other human service agencies.
