Mission Youth Philippines is an organization for young Catholic men and women dedicated to carrying out regular evangelization activities or “missions” to both rural and urban communities in the country with the purpose of reenergizing the community’s Catholic identity and fostering greater parish involvement. It challenges young people to follow Jesus as modern day apostles who are active members of the Church and are ready to share the Gospel with the world. Mission Youth accomplishes this goal by sending youth missionaries who are ready, able and willing to bear witness to their faith. The Young Lasallian Ministers are acknowledged as a student arm of the Campus Ministry Office (CMO). The members of the High School Chorale are given advanced training in solo and ensemble singing. They work on a varied repertoire of songs which will deepen their appreciation of choral music. Taking its inspiration from Jacobo Santiago Zobel, Key of Z members have established in themselves as the unique pop acapella group rendering pieces of fine and mostly acapella music of different genres. For Academic Year 2015-20116, Key of Z is opening its audition and membership to male high school students starting from Grade 7 to Fourth Year. Girls who wish to audition for solo parts are welcome as well. The Symphonic Band aims to help the students enhance their self-esteem and skills in performance and help them become a well-rounded person. Advanced Strings aims to facilitate learning of instrument playing and help the students heighten their enthusiasm for music. To instill discipline and sense of responsibility in balancing time for academics and performing arts To inspire anime fans to become lifelong learners Angklung is a musical instrument made of two to four bamboo tubes attached to a bamboo frame. The tubes are carved to have a resonant pitch when struck and are tuned to octaves. Table tennis, also known as ping pong, is a sport in which two or four players hit a lightweight ball back and forth across a table using a small, round bat. Judo Club is an introductory club for aspiring Judokas. It is open to all interested students regardless of skill level. Aikido is a non-competitive martial art that teaches self-defense and development. It uses the principles of harmony that enable effective defense even against stronger and/or bigger aggressors. Typical physical techniques include throws, breaks, locks, pins, joint manipulation, and pressure point influence. The same principles also develop a person to become better spiritual beings and members of society. Handball is a combination of Basketball, Soccer and Netball. It is played indoors on a court about the size of two basketball courts. It aims to teach members the skills of throwing and catching of the flying disc, responsibility for fair play and respect, adherence to the rules and basic joy of play. This club is considered the fastest-growing team sport that teaches the “Spirit of the Game”. DLSZ Volleyball Club helps aspiring athletes to develop their skills in volleyball. Floorball is a fun and fast-paced sport played indoors with floorball sticks and a ball. The sport is easy to pick up with simple rules that one can easily learn in a matter of minutes. DLSZ Basketball Club aims to further develop the physical abilities, confidence, focus and positive attitude of its members making them realize the importance of these attributes in the attainment of their goals of life.
