It was a colorful power point highlighting many exciting features of our school such as hands on learning, community partnerships, student leadership, student projects and more. The Board was extended an invitation to come to our school for a salad bar dinner for more in depth sharing and dialogue in January. Congratulations to all who contribute to making TSAS so special—staff, parents and especially the students. The School Board was duly impressed and we have much to be proud about. Homework Policy Review: At the recent APC meeting on this past Monday, homework policy was the hot topic. While we have a basic current homework policy, it was decided to form a committee to clarify certain aspects such as teacher/home communication if there are concerns, systematic homework help, and other details. Our goal is to complete the policy revision by the next meeting. If you have suggestions or concerns regarding the homework policy, please share them by contacting APC members or sending recommendations to the office. As always, we value your input. At the Monday meeting the APC also decided that students will no longer be required to attend Study Hall instead of swimming for failure to complete homework. We will NOT have school on December 19, 2014. Classes will resume January 5, 2015 Mr. Shultz's 3rd and 4th grade class is in need of 20 2-liter plastic soda bottles with lids for our Water Cycle theme. Are you a Pokemon lover and... love fantastic trades or love heated battles? If you said “YES” to any of these questions you will love this year’s Pokemon Club! Our meeting days will be every Monday and Friday during lunch in the Art area. This year our judges are Henry Clark, Kepler Starkweather-Jones, Phillip Smith, and Atreyu Davis. They will help you with battle rules or a trade you are unsure about, but the judges can‘t stop a trade unless you or the other student does not want to trade. We will start next Monday, December 8th. School Store Starts! In addition to renting goggles each Friday, Student Council will now be selling drinks and snacks after swimming.
