Relationship Students who have completed the course successfully should be able to Net Effect Prog. Output 1 8 4 look at movies in an analytical way 2 8 4 develop different perspectives on international issues 3 debate specific issues in international politics such as terrorism or 8 4 genocide. 4 7 4 express their judgement about the meaning and the quality of movies by using convincing arguments Course Description: Using readings, classroom discussions and films that deal with international politics, the course will analyze how these movies shed light on international affairs, show different perspectives on these issues and deepen our understanding. There will be 6 movie presentations during the semester and the classroom discussions will focus on how the content of the movie relates to what students have learned in the readings. The course covers issues such as ethnic conflict, foreign intervention, international institutions, and the Middle East conflict.
