Grammar Note:
An important difference
between a résumé and an
essay is that you format
sentences differently.
Sentence fragments are
mandatory. Other grammar
errors, however, will kill
your chances at getting an
interview.

• Many people do not include an
objective on their résumé.
• If you need the space, eliminate it; if
you need to fill space, include one.
• To write the objective:
• Explain what type of employment you
want
• Add what skill(s) you will bring to the
employer
• Indicate what you can do for the
employer, not what you want the
employer to do for you.
